Fragment of a manuscript on Roman antiquities, ca. 1700.

Publication proposal for an antiquarian text to be divided into nine sections with an outline of the subject matter for each. The text is intended to correct errors committed by antiquarians as to the location and function of certain historical landmarks throughout Rome, including the Temple of the Sun on Monte Quirinale, previously thought to be the Tower of Mecenate. The author also asserts that the Colonna gardens occupy the site of the Baths of Constantine and that the Colonna villa stands in the exact location of Nero's Golden House. Other notes of historical interest concern several ancient columns and a medal showing the head of Antoninus Pius.
